Meet Sandy Mandel
My interest in style emanated from my mother. She designed my clothes and was an expert seamstress. I was brought up rummaging through bolts of fabric in downtown LA and developed an early passion for the fashion world. I also love the business world and pursued a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Wear2Where allows me to combine business and fashion.
I have been involved in the SF philanthropic community chairing numerous events and organizations. Opening Night of the Ballet was probably the most fun! I style for Print and TV Media. A fashion designer at heart, I usually chop, re-construct, and modify anything I buy to create a new look.
Meet Barbara Winchell
As a native New Yorker, I grew up surrounded by fashion. I always wanted to own and operate a clothing store. After moving to San Francisco I opened New York West, a women’s cutting edge fashion boutique. I only bought New York designers because I wanted to bring a taste of New York to San Francisco.
In addition to buying, merchandising and advertising I produced, wrote and presented television segments for AM San Francisco. My other passion is travel. Exploring the world has led me to pursue travel consulting, advising clients on where to stay and what to wear. I love the research and the thrill of the hunt. Shopping the exotic bazaars in Istanbul, navigating the maze like tunnels of Marrakesh or bargaining at the pearl market in Beijing enables me to bring a global fashion mix to Wear2Where.
I have become the master of the carry on bag and how one evening shoe will match two weeks worth of clothing (ok, maybe two pairs). As my loving husband said more than 20 years ago, “if you pack it you carry it.”
